Change is part of flow

As the river has to change its’ way till it reaches the ocean we all need to keep changing until we reach our goals, success and happiness. Keep in mind that our needs change depending on which phase of our life we are.

Have you ever felt like being crazy or behaving like someone who doesn’t know what they want from life? Are you someone whose needs to keep changing every year or every 5 years? Do you easily get bored in one job and you want to jump to the next one?

Guess what.

It’s absolutely normal not to like the job that you studied for at the university.

It’s ok if you want to do a flexible job for some years or forever, if you would like to spend more time with your family and raise your children and it’s also ok to want everything and to try to be a successful professional and a good parent.

It is also fine to take a break from work when you feel tired or even to leave your job if you don’t like it or if it’s not fulfilling anymore.

Finally, it is also ok to change your work or your lifestyle after deep thought or because something unexpected occurred in your life, like a new partner, a baby or because you lost someone close to you.

Life is not a linear path. It has many turns, ups and downs. We are spending a lot of time at work, a quite big part of our life actually. So, why work or success should be a linear path? Remain flexible and accept that only by trying and failing you will reach success.

Learn to set priorities, not only according to your professional goals, but also according to your personal needs and your values.

However, there may be some specific reasons that you cannot find your dream job or that make you want to change jobs very often.
